We arrived at this beautiful atoll, Rangiroa heralded by a rainbow sprite. It is the second largest atoll in the world being 75km long and 25km wide.

We went ashore via tender boat and walked around the shore while others snorkled and swam in the pristine waters. The locals produce local black pearls so I felt I had to contribute to the local economy.

The island is sparcely populated but boasts 1 taxi! LOL.

It was very hot and humid and we had a "code Mike 1" ie a medical emergency where someone passed away.
