Today was a busy at sea day with a watercolour session in the morning. The afternoon lecture was its usual brilliant presentation by James Grant- Peterkin subject being the "Longitude Conundrum" where the contribution of the clockmaker John Harrison and Captain James Cook combined with the process ion of Venus in 1773. This enabled cartographers and seafarers to understand accurately where they were east to west.
