Apapulco is a traditional tourist destination for the rich and famous with glamorous hotels ringing the coast. We opted for Tehuacalho, an archelogical remains tour of pre-columbian Yope people, in the hinterland. It featured a pyramid style platform used for human sacrifice (gruesome). The site was aligned north south and East to a sacred mountain. In the site was a games area where any disputes were "resolved" by playing a ball sport. We were accompanied by armed guards (for "traffic control") who were very alert to any activity around the site but weirdly didn't manage the traffic on the retrurn journey. Below also is photo of the San Sebastian Fort which the Spanish buit in 17th Century to repel the English Pirates.
