Today we were delayed docking at Halifax until 12:30 pm. We had a booking on the Hopper taht we were able to rebook for later. The hopper is a Vietnam war amphibious vehicle that has been repurposed as a duck to take people around historic Halifax and on the water. It was so much fun.

Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia, Canada. It has a 250 year history, now being a busy seaport, seafood restaurants and a buzzy urban space. The oceanline boasts a fantastic boardwalk with funky little shops.

Originally Halifax was a military establishment and has beautiful brick barracks that have been repurposed.

We had a look at the Maritime Museum which was interesting. The particular event for the people of Halifax was the collision of two boats in 1917, The French Mont Blanc was carrying explosives and munitions. This created the most immense blast killing 2000 people and wiping out much of Halifax.

Had a great night with Mimi and Connie in Polo.
