Cape Town was quite a treat. We took the hop on hop off red bus around Cape Town with Jeanne and Dave. It took us all the way to Tabletop (Tamboerskloop) Mountain past Lion's Head, where we took a cable car to the top viewing platform.

Cape Town gives all the impression of being an extremely wealthy and well put together city.

The day we were there was absolutely perfect: sunny mild no wind and otherwise glorious.

About 1000m above Cape Town is the magnificent Tabletop flat plateau, that forms a backdrop to the city. From the top of Tabletop we had a 360 degree view, clear and perfect.

We saw little mammals called dassies who were lounging on the granite outcrops below the viewing platforms. Apparently the Dassies were down to three We also saw some unique green metalic lizards . The other weird creatures were three US uni students (gorgeous girls) on their break setting out to repell down the face of Tabletop. (OMG).

We caught the cablecar to the HO HO bus and headed back to the Vista.

Alan went to the Zulu dancers and Drummers in the Vista Lounge after dinner.
